Services

SSO works closely with the health authorities to consider various options for a shared services model. Feasibility studies and business cases help to determine the best solution option for possible services.

SSO will continually look for opportunities that can provide enhanced business value for the health authorities. Each service is considered from a system-wide perspective, not an individual health authority perspective while also striving to meet client, staff and clinician needs.

Supply Chain Management is the first shared service solution to be implemented, starting in 2009. Following detailed analysis, in collaboration with all of the health authorities, a provincial integrated model of service has been developed, to be operated by the SSO.

Other non-clinical services will be considered as SSO moves forward.
