Who We Are
The SSO is governed by a Board of Directors which is made up of the CEOs from the six health authorities, the Chief Operating Office of the Ministry of Health and two external members.
The SSO Executive Lead reports to the Board and is responsible for developing the SSO from the concept stage through start-up to generating savings and service level improvements to British Columbia’s health authorities.
The Board provides direction, approvals and oversight related to business issues such as service offerings, pricing, capital expenditures, etc. A Master Service Agreement between SSO and the health authorities sets out the terms and conditions under which it provides identified services to each of the six health authorities.
